I am an author, blogger and incest survivor who offers hope, inspiration and practical insights for survivors of childhood sexual abuse so each one can live an empowered life apart from the effects of abuse.
Some fear inhibits my life and some fear protects it. My powerlessness as a child taught me to discount the fear that was meant to protect my life, but I obeyed the fear that inhibited my life. I passed up opportunities and experiences. I missed out on adventures and replaced adventure’s excitement with the thrill of danger. Part of healing has meant that I’ve learned to discern my fear. Now, fear doesn’t mean 'stop'; it means, 'stop and evaluate.' ”
