I have hit rock bottom again, I cant find a way to start thinking about my self, I just want some peace in my mind. I keep it all bottled in, My family knows my past abuse, but not to the full descriptive details, which play in my head daily. I can tell a complete stranger every detail , because I know I will never see them again. Where do I start? I don't want to hurt my mom ,

Christina,

I can understand the feeling of that dependency on others. Even to the point of feeling like my existence depended solely on them. It was a wonderful and powerful thing when I discovered the truth that I can heal without others and could depend on myself. And yes, Yah, for Freedom!

Patty,
i can relate to having my confidence so knocked down that I didn't think I was capable of making important decisions for myself or of taking care of myself. That's one of the things that kept me in the abusive system for so long since I was dependent on others to tell me what to do. I was convinced that they knew best and without them, I would die. My abusers reinforced that belief in so many ways and the cycle was so hard to break.

Thanks for sharing your process of finding your own way to heal and for validating other survivors through this. Yay for freedom!

Hugs,
Christina
